Book formats question

Releasing a book feels like the most vulnerable thing I’ve done in my life to date. I see my thinking in black and white print, concepts that danced through my consciousness becoming still. Now they will be available for others to critique or enjoy. My errors will glare at me. And I will continue to write books, and to create. Grateful every day that I live in a country where this is possible and encouraged.

I love reading paperback books (over eBooks or hardcovers). I love the tactile experience of a paperback book. What’s your favorite format for reading?

Please let me know in the comments below!

Cheers & happy weekend!

    1. Thank you! I really appreciate your early investment, Clare. It will be a few more weeks yet, since I was tending to some elderly parent issues in October. But I keep moving forward on it. 🙂

  1. I prefer printed books. Formatting on e-book isn’t always the best but they are more affordable. I recently self published a novel, The Cross We Bear, and formatting of the e-book wasn’t easy. I did it because people requested the e-book format for convenience and affordability.

    1. Gotcha. Yes. I’ve been told eBooks are necessary for the marketplace and I like to make things convenient. But they just aren’t the same, are they? Thanks for your comment! Ooh, I’m always curious about other self-publishers. I’ll look you up!
