Coaching

Nothing like shameless self-promotion, right?

I often get requests for personal coaching. I have provided career development and professional development advice to colleagues and co-workers for decades, actually since getting into the professional world after college. Even if I was not always paid to do this, people seem to seek me out and ask for my advice rather often. I have shepherded many people through job transitions and other life transitions.

While I do not have a degree in counseling, I have always found that providing a sounding board and asking key important questions is a valuable part of our professional development. As an operational manager, I often do this for my employees. As a colleague to many scientists and engineers (particularly women, who are often in the minority in our departments or companies), I frequently give advice and counsel to people in transition.

I provide coaching to mid-career or early career women (age 30-42) who are seeking 1:1 phone-based coaching, usually for a period of 3-6 months and typically with a frequency of every other week. Calls are 45 minutes and we cover goals that we establish in the beginning and refine throughout our time together. Pricing is based on a mutually agreed contract and takes into account personal situation, goals and life-stage.

I draw on the work of Martha Beck, Brooke Castillo, Elizabeth Gilbert, Geneen Roth, Byron Katie and many others. Though I do not have a specific coaching certification, if there is a fit between our personalities, you can decide if you find value in receiving coaching from me.

I have had access to many excellent coaches and mentors throughout my career. I am privileged to use my experience to help others gain clarity on their goals and objectives, and remove barriers to achieving these goals.

For more information and to schedule a free 30-minute call with me to see if I can help you reach your goals, please email me at cristy@meximinnesotana.com in order to schedule. Please allow 24 hours for a response since I travel frequently for work and I am a one-person shop in this part of my work life.

Cheers & happy transitions!
